Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals that delight our guests. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others in the kitchen.
