Okanagan Montessori Elementary School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Grade 2/3 Teacher to join our growing school community.

Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction that aligns with the British Columbia Curriculum while supporting the individual needs of each learner. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who values hands-on learning, collaborative teaching, and creating a positive classroom culture.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate (must hold before employment).
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students.
- Strong knowledge and experience implementing the BC Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Two reference letters.
Assets:
- Montessori training or experience.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and multi-age classrooms.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and hands-on learning approaches.
- Experience collaborating with parents and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet BC Curriculum outcomes.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
- Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Participate in school events, field trips, and professional development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
