A thriving small accounting office in Kitchener looking to fill a full time position in accounting, financial statement preparation and personal/corporate tax filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of bookkeeping and payroll for different entities
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses
- Supervise and Train Jr. Staff
- Keeping manager and other team members informed on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues
- Liaise with CRA regarding client issues
- Additional ad-hoc duties or assignments
Job requirements: Please note the position is for a Sr. accounting practice and at least 3-5 years of prior Canadian accounting office AND INCOME TAX PREPARATION experience is a MUST:
- Bachelor/Diploma in accounting and having completed Canadian Tax I, Tax II courses
- Prior Canadian Accounting firm, tax preparation experience a must
- Familiarity with Quick Books, QucikBooks Online, Xero and Solid Bookkeeping experience
- Familiarity with CanTax or Profile or Taxprep is an Asset
- Experience with Payroll preparation, HST & WSIB
- Excellent communication skills as you candidate will be in direct contact with clients
- Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel/Word)
Salary based on Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
