C++ Software Engineer, Linux Embedded Systems

We are seeking a skilled C++ Developer with strong POSIX and Linux experience to contribute high quality software, support debugging efforts, and help drive successful releases of software running in customer vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain C++ applications within a Linux environment
- Contribute to embedded development work across the product
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability, using C++11 or newer
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
- Write clear and concise documentation
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proactively identify and address potential technical challenges
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in POSIX development on Linux; experience with specific POSIX APIs such as pthreads, sockets, and signal handling is highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming, including modern C++ features (C++11 and beyond)
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with debugging and profiling tools such as gdb and valgrind
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with build systems such as CMake or Make
- Experience with testing frameworks such as gtest, ptest, or c unit
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with specific Linux distributions such as Ubuntu
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Contract duration: 12 months
