AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Communications Systems Engineer to join our growing team based in Calgary, Alberta. Join one of Canada's leading engineering organizations and contribute to the Calgary Green Line (CGL) project, helping deliver transformational transit infrastructure for City of Calgary and its community.
The Communications Systems Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and senior specialists. The incumbent will assist the Communications Systems Manager in the successful delivery of the Network Infrastructure package for the project, supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle and currently undertaking responsibilities that include:

Reviewing the current design, integration and testing documentation.

Overseeing handover to Construction.

relevant implementation of network systems for rail and transit projects.

Support design/review of transit communications networks and systems.

Develop engineering drawings, specifications and technical reports, as required.

Assist with MPLS, IP routing, switching, VLAN and industrial network architectures.

Review FAT, SAT documentation and oversee commissioning activities.

Support interface management and systems integration.

Review vendor documentation and technical submissions.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Telecommunications or related Engineering discipline.

Eligible for APEGA registration as EIT or P.Eng.

Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in a related role.

Experience with IT networking, MPLS, routing and switching technologies.

Experience with industrial Ethernet and OT networks

Experience with Cisco, Nokia, Juniper or similar platforms is considered valuable.

Rail or large infrastructure project experience would be an asset.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for critical infrastructure.
