Cardiothoracic / Cross Sectional Imaging Radiologist Position Department of Medical Imaging – McMaster University – Faculty of Health Sciences
Permanent Full-Time Academic Position
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, affiliated with McMaster University, Department of Medical Imaging, Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), is seeking a full-time radiologist with a Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship to join its team of 18 sub-specialized Radiologists. This is a new permanent, full-time position.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
The preferred candidate will have sub-specialized training in all aspects of Cardiothoracic Imaging and be proficient in performing image-guided procedures of the chest. The candidate should also have competency in other areas of general cross-sectional imaging and participate in an acute on-call roster covering all modalities. Candidates must be able to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment, including participation in regularly-scheduled multidisciplinary rounds, supporting our Regional Thoracic Surgery and Respirology Programs.
This is a full-time faculty position at McMaster University, with academic rank commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will promote clinical scholarship and demonstrate strong potential for teaching, mentorship and scholarly research. Participation in teaching and supervision for the McMaster medical imaging residency program, allied residency programs and undergraduate programs is expected.

St. Joseph’s Healthcare is a multi-site (3) acute-care, 740 bed teaching hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and an affiliated teaching hospital of McMaster University, Faculty of Health Sciences. It operates as the Regional Referral Centre for Respirology and Thoracic Surgery. In addition, we provide a wide variety of surgical services, medical services and regional programs. We will provide CT and CT Fluoroscopy, cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI services across 3 CT scanners and 3 Clinical MRI scanners (2 x 1.5T and 1 x 3T)
In addition, a dedicated 3T Research MRI and a 5 ring PET/CT scanner are present in the St. Joseph’s Imaging Research Centre.

The successful candidate must adhere to the established Standards of Behavior for St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Qualified Applicants must either hold or be eligible for certification in diagnostic radiology for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, have undertaken fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
