Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of equipment and machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments on vehicles and machinery using schematics and specialized tools
- Conduct repairs on automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical manuals and schematics
- Assist with assembly, disassembly, and installation of parts on various machinery
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, welding, and industrial equipment operation
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of engine systems, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Heavy lifting capability and physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy equipment operation including Caterpillar machinery and other industrial equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
