Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders, in various construction environments. This role involves safely and efficiently performing excavation tasks essential to our projects, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in horizontal drilling, paving, and other heavy equipment operations are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes with precision and safety.
- Perform site excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation activities including paving and horizontal drilling as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly.
- Operate additional machinery such as Caterpillar equipment for various construction tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting.
- Familiarity with dozer, loader, grader, backhoe operation, and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction processes including paving and horizontal drilling techniques.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Strong mechanical aptitude related to heavy machinery repair and troubleshooting.
- Prior work with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is advantageous. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex machinery safely while contributing to large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in heavy equipment operation combined with a commitment to safety and efficiency on the job site.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
