Job Overview
TILE GENICS is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping customers with their renovation and construction projects by providing expert product recommendations and exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting homeowners, contractors, designers, and builders with selecting tile, flooring, countertops, and related products while ensuring a seamless purchasing experience from initial inquiry to final delivery.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, sales-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail showroom. Experience in the tile, flooring, home improvement, or construction industry is considered an asset.
Duties :
- Welcome customers and assist them in selecting tile, flooring, countertops, trims, mouldings, vinyl, and other related products that best suit their project and budget.
- Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, and retail customers by providing exceptional customer service.
- Prepare quotations, process sales orders, invoices, payments, and returns accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotations, order status, product availability, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and completed on time.
- Maintain customer records and provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, exchanges, and warranty issues professionally and efficiently.
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing by maintaining product displays and merchandising standards.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring product availability.
- Stay informed on new products, industry trends, and installation techniques to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Achieve individual and team sales goals through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and effective upselling.
- Occasionally deliver customer orders locally when required. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.
Requirements
- Previous retail or sales experience is preferred; experience in the tile, flooring, home improvement, or construction industry is an asset.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
- Comfortable using POS systems, preparing quotations, invoices, and processing payments.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with moving product samples and inventory.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred, as occasional local deliveries may be required.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
