Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. This role involves preforming tree removals and tree trimming. Dragging brush, using hand tools and operating brush chipper. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn new skills. Prior experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or related fields is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, trimming, and soil preparation
- Support project teams with site preparation and clean-up activities
- Operate equipment such as brush chipper and assist with rigging when necessary
- Perform general labour duties including lifting, digging, and material handling
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during operations
- Support the setup and breakdown of work sites, including loading and unloading materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of rigging, hand tools and chainsaw operation an asset.
- Experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety procedures and guidelines
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
