Suluu Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is looking for motivated women (18+) in Medicine Hat and surrounding communities who would like to become Rhythmic Gymnastics Coaches and help launch and grow new programs for girls in Fall 2026 or Winter 2027.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with girls ages 5+ promote physical activity, and help develop rhythmic gymnastics in Northern Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory rhythmic gymnastics classes for girls ages 5–12
- Lead warm-ups, flexibility, coordination and basic apparatus training (hoop, ribbon, ball, clubs)
- Create a safe, fun, and supportive training environment
- Encourage confidence, teamwork, and discipline in young athletes
- Communicate with parents and program coordinators
- Support choreography and simple routines for performances
Requirements
- Passion for working with children and youth
- Interest in sport, dance, gymnastics, or movement
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Willingness to complete Gymnastics Foundations coach training (NCCP) that will be held in Edmonton in the end of August 2026. The club covers training expenses.
- First Aid certification
- Criminal record check may be required
Previous experience in gymnastics, dance, cheer, or coaching is an asset but not required.
