Claims Contract Attorney for a remote contract opportunity supporting high-profile product liability, class action, and mass tort matters. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys analyzing claims, reviewing documentation, and communicating with claimants while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing claim submissions, preparing written responses, handling claimant inquiries, and ensuring compliance with established project protocols. This is not a traditional litigation or eDiscovery role, but rather an opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation of compensation programs while working alongside a collaborative legal operations team.

Responsibilities

Analyze claim documents, supporting records, and related materials to determine eligibility and compliance with program requirements.

Prepare clear, accurate, and professional written responses to claimants and legal counsel.

Handle inbound written and telephone inquiries, including complex claimant issues and requests for clarification.

Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring adherence to project guidelines and compliance requirements.

Collaborate closely with project managers, coordinators, and team members to support efficient case processing.

Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail throughout the claims review process.

Support the implementation and administration of compensation programs related to class action, product liability, and mass tort matters.
Qualifications

Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.

Must be bilingual in both French and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to review complex documentation accurately.

Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Litigation experience is considered a strong asset.

Experience with class action or mass tort matters is preferred.

Experience reviewing medical records is highly preferred.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
