Line Cook (Experienced)
New Restaurant Opening – West End, Vancouver (Denman Street)
We are opening a new restaurant in Vancouver’s West End, built on discipline, precision, and high standards.
We are not building a large kitchen — we are building a small, focused team with a strong work ethic.
Every station, every plate, and every movement matters.
About the Role
As part of a chef-driven team, you will be responsible for executing dishes with consistency, maintaining organization, and working in sync with the kitchen during service.
This is an environment where standards are clear, expectations are high, and improvement is constant.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain mise en place so your station is always service-ready
- Execute prep and service with consistency and precision
- Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes and prep lists
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workspace at all times
- Follow food safety standards, including proper handling, labeling, storage, and FIFO
- Own your station and complete all assigned tasks to standard and on time
- Support consistent execution of the menu by following direction from leadership
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining control and focus
Requirements
- Minimum 3years of experience in a professional kitchen
- FoodSafe Level 1 (required)
- Strong understanding of timing, consistency, and service flow
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
- Ability to take direction and execute at a high level
Compensation
- $19–$22/hour (based on experience)
- Share of structured tip pool
- Growth-based wage increases over time
