Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean dining environment. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. The Server will play a key role in enhancing guest experiences through efficient service and hospitality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS if available
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns with professionalism
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order calculations
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and sales
- Good communication skills for effective guest interactions and teamwork
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
