Materials Planner
- We are looking for an organized and motivated material planning professional to join our growing team! The successful candidate will be responsible for material planning and distribution order management. This includes requisition requirements, planned releases, and participation in local sourcing and development projects. Collaboration and cooperation with other departments, functions, and stake holders is a key component to the role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an office environment (as well as leg work in the factory), focused on meeting targets, and is well versed in purchasing software, MRP/ERP software, and databases. Skilled use of MS Office is also a prerequisite and a daily requirement in the roll. Preference may be given to those with experience using INFORS / M3 software. Compensation relevant to experience will be considered.

Material Planner Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in material planning with management team
- Works closely with operations and sales to manage inventory and maximize efficiency
- Coordinates material releases with parent factory and 3PL warehouses
- Manages the procurement of all locally sourced products, materials, and supplies.
- Controls DO (distribution order) process within the ERP system
- Participates in local sourcing projects and cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborates with Ops team on shop floor layout, part storage, and material racking
- Assists in tracking and scheduling of incoming shipments.
- Provides additional support for other departments when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Material Planner Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency, self-starter
- Able to work independently and within a team
- MS Office proficiency
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with MRP/ERP software
- INFOR M3 experience a definite plus
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in a similar role
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
