What you’ll do
* Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
* Maintain safety records, reports, and incident/near-miss investigations
* Liaise with employees and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) Case Managers.
* Responsible for WCB case management and return to work process.
* Ensure PPE and fall protection equipment certification is up to date
* Communicate with management regarding safety issues
* Prepare and manage safety-related paperwork, including forms, reports, and documentation
What You Bring
* Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid/CPR)
* Knowledge of Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act and construction site regulations
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid driver's license / own vehicle
