Salary Payroll Administrator
As a member of the Payroll team, you will ensure the company’s payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with Company and government policies. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail that operates well in a fast paced environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and/or process salary and hourly payroll.
Conduct salary calculations for new hires, changes, terminations, etc.
Reconcile source deductions, benefits, and WCB.
Process remittances related to payroll including disbursements to benefit carriers, tax authorities and worker's compensation ensuring compliance with legislation.
Liaise with staff and management on payroll related inquiries.
Prepare various month end reports.
Prepare Records of Employment using ROE Web.
Prepare various correspondence, statistical summaries, and other material related to payroll function.
Assist Management with internal and external audits.
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Perform payroll administrative tasks as required
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years payroll experience processing the full payroll cycle. PCP designation and experience using an in house payroll system are an asset. You are efficient with Excel, have data processing skills and can effectively deal with confidential information. You have excellent communications skills, customer service oriented and a team player. You are able to manage a large volume of work and can consistently meet deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy.
