About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen as a Dishwasher and Indian Prep Cook. This is a dual-role position — you'll be keeping the kitchen running smoothly through dish and station maintenance, while also developing real skills in authentic Indian cuisine under the guidance of our kitchen team.
No formal culinary degree required. What matters is a good attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in learning.
What You'll Do
Dishwashing & Kitchen Sanitation
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of dish station, sinks, and surrounding areas throughout service
- Empty and clean garbage and recycling bins as needed
- Assist with sweeping and mopping kitchen floors at end of service
- Restock clean items to their proper stations
Indian Prep & Kitchen Support
- Prepare and portion ingredients for Indian dishes — including marinating proteins, grinding spices, and making masalas, chutneys, and sauces
- Assist with prep for dal, curry bases, rice, breads, and sides
- Label and store prepped items correctly, following FIFO and food safety protocols
- Support line cooks during service as needed
- Keep prep areas clean, organized, and stocked

- Interest in Indian cuisine and willingness to learn from our kitchen team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling moderate physical demands
- Ability to follow instructions and food safety guidelines
- Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required — we're happy to train the right person
- Smart Serve / Food Handler Certification is an asset
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
