Overview
VIH Helicopters, a division of VIH Aviation Group, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Records Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, proficiency with databases and ERP systems, and excellent computer literacy. Prior office experience and familiarity with data entry and filing are highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical record-keeping processes within a professional environment that values precision and reliability. This is a part-time role reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance and Quality Assurance Manager. It is based out of our North Saanich office near the Victoria Airport.
Duties
- Receive daily journey logbooks pages and update maintenance tracking software with aircraft flight times, starts, landings, cycles and lifts.
- Audit journey logbook entries for errors.
- Scanning all journey logbooks pages and tech records into laser fiche.
- Update Component History Records
- Audit and update maintenance records and maintenance tracking software for maintenance performed within work packages or task cards.
- Update WinAir according to performed inspections and component replacements.
- Provision of clerical support and other administrative duties as and when required.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an administrative role – required
- Experience working within the aviation industry – strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond well in high-pressure situations
- Experience at setting and monitoring strict quality standards
- Strong capability using spreadsheets, databases and maintenance tracking software
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Must display excellent time management skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of the need for and the applicable ability to track inspections, and components requirements.
- Practical working knowledge of Windows based programs with particular emphasis on creation and upkeep of spreadsheets.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
