About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Aide to join the team at Pizza Delight. In this role, you will play a crucial part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, especially during our fast-paced rush hours. You will assist our cooks, manage prep stations, and ensure that our workspace is clean, organized, and ready for high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities
Dough Management: Carefully manage, organize, and store our pre-stretched dough in pans, ensuring a seamless hand-off for the line cooks.
Food Preparation: Assist with chopping, slicing, and organizing pizza toppings and other ingredients to ensure the make-line is fully stocked before and during shifts.
Rush Hour Support: Provide critical support to the rest of the team during peak dining hours to maintain quick ticket times and steady workflow.
Sanitation & Cleanliness: Wash dishes, sanitize prep surfaces, sweep and mop floors, and ensure the kitchen consistently meets all health and safety standards.
Inventory & Organization: Help receive deliveries, safely organize the walk-in cooler, take out the trash, and rotate stock efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding food safety, cleanliness, and product handling.
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus, but we are willing to train the right, motivated candidate.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
Comfortable safely lifting and moving heavy items (e.g., large ingredient containers, stacks of dough pans).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$18.20 per hour
