Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder specializing in Decking to join our field construction team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding structural components for decking, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints. Responsibilities
- Perform CWB SMAW welding processes to fabricate decking components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, and assembly instructions accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of parts
- Rigging materials and components for lifting or assembly using cranes or other rigging equipment
- Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools to verify dimensions meet specifications
- Assist with the assembly of decking structures, ensuring proper fitment and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and technical challenges
Requirements
- CWB SMAW Decking ticket
- Fall Protection Ticket
- CSTS Certificate
- Familiarity with blueprint reading
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy components using cranes or other rigging equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Experience with construction projects is a plus
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with schematics, assembly procedures, and manufacturing processes is preferred

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
