JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE:
Indigenous Grad Coach
REPORTS TO:
Manager, Indigenous Education
SUMMARY:
As a key member of the Indigenous Education team, the Indigenous Grad Coach reports to the Manager and School Principal and is responsible for developing and implementing programs and services to support Indigenous students and their families, with a focus on student success and graduation in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, acts and policies of Superior-Greenstone District School Board. It is preferred that the successful candidate identifies as First Nation, Metis and/or Inuit.
- EFFORT
- Demand on energy as a result of developing important and effective working relationships with students and families.
- May be required to drive to various sites which may require extended periods of time sitting in a vehicle.
- Work does not require extended physical effort.
- Most working hours are in a normal indoor working environment.
- Occasionally exposed to difficult or demanding clientele.
- Required to respond to emergencies, regularly attend meetings and make presentations outside normal business hours.
- Occasionally required to travel to alternative Board locations.
