We are seeking an experienced Fabricator & Templator to join our team in the Granite Business.
The ideal candidate that we are looking for will require to have experience in templating and fabricating.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to custom projects and to grow within a reputable company that has been open for 20 years, and is dedicated to crafting quality and building together.
Responsibilities for the templator:
- Creating templates through either traditional physical materials (coroplast) or digital laser tools (Flexi-jet)
- Must be able to read floor plans.
- Work directly with ownership to develop detailed drawings based on company templates
- Assess job site's on arrival for installation access.
- Also work directly with clients ( homeowners, builders, contractors and designers) on-site to review the scope of work, take precise measurements for templating to ensure fabrication / installation accuracy.
- Following safety standards and company policies at all times.
Responsibilities for the fabricator
- To Fabricate & Install which includes cutting, polishing, and measuring.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools for precise cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembly tasks.
- Perform welding operations including MIG and TIG welding to join metal parts securely.
- Measure materials accurately using , tape measures, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Able to install custom / complex jobs
- Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, drawings and instructions.
- Work as a team.
Qualifications for the templator
- Proven experience as a Templator within the granite or stone fabrication industry.
- Experience is CAD and or CNC required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project plans, and specifications
- Must have good communication skills.
- Attention to detail skills.
- Physical ability to handle materials and perform tasks that require standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods of time.
- Must also be detailed oriented.
- Must have drivers license.
Requirements for the fabricator
- Experience is a mandatory
- Must have good communication skills.
- Strong understanding of reading and paying attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation basics, forklift operation (preferred), and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
