Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical and electrical skills to ensure vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. Candidates with dealership experience or familiarity with heavy machinery are highly encouraged to apply. This position involves hands-on work with automotive systems, industrial equipment, and power tools, requiring excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery when necessary
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Assist with the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components or industrial machinery
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed service records and document work performed accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Skills
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical, and engine repair
- Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for troubleshooting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with automotive repair standards and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
