Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Engineering Sales Specialist to join our team. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to promote and demonstrate our advanced engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of computer networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and scripting, along with excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively. The Engineering Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving pre-sales activities, delivering product demos, and providing technical guidance to support our business growth. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the technical features and benefits of our solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and develop tailored proposals that align with their technical requirements.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, including analysis of client infrastructure and recommendations for optimal solutions.
- Assist in the development of sales strategies based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments related to computer networking, cloud services (AWS, Azure), virtualization (VMware), and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Support the implementation process by coordinating with engineering teams during deployment phases.
- Develop and deliver product demos that highlight key features such as Linux-based systems, AWS integrations, VMware environments, and automation tools.
- Build strong relationships with clients by offering expert advice on technical solutions and troubleshooting issues during the sales process.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote our products and expand professional networks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical sales within the engineering or IT sectors, with a focus on cloud platforms, networking, or virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, AWS, Azure, VMware, Linux systems, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash (Unix shell).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations.
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Experience in project management and coordinating complex deployments or integrations.
- Effective communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in pre-sales activities is highly desirable.
