Position Summary
Landmark Bus Lines is seeking a Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our Newmarket maintenance team. This position is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of school buses and other B-class vehicles, ensuring all equipment meets Ministry of Transportation and company safety standards. We are looking for a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in their work and contributes positively to a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain school buses and other heavy-duty/B-class fleet vehicles
- Perform brake, safety, and preventative maintenance inspections
- Complete monthly and scheduled vehicle inspections in compliance with MTO requirements
- Respond to service calls, including cold starts, as required
- Accurately complete work orders and maintain maintenance records
- Follow all shop procedures, safety policies, and regulatory standards
- Work closely with the Shop Foreman and maintenance team to support fleet readiness
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
- Previous fleet maintenance experience; school bus experience considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software, including:
- Navistar
- Cummins Insite
- Allison DOC
- Meritor Wabco
- Other heavy-duty diagnostic platforms
- Ability to safely lift and handle moderate to heavy components
- Computer literate and comfortable using electronic diagnostic systems
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and time management
- Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and a respectful workplace
