DMC Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturer of technical building products to hire a Technical Sales Specialist for Western Canada.
This is an opportunity to combine technical sales, business development, and project management while working on complex commercial construction projects across Western Canada. You'll collaborate with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, dealers, and installation partners, supporting projects from early design through successful completion.

The Opportunity
This role blends technical sales with project management. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, supporting specifications, influencing product selection, and maintaining relationships with customers and industry partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Once projects are awarded, you'll remain actively involved by coordinating schedules, managing customer expectations, collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and installation teams, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully. You'll also represent the company through customer meetings, jobsite visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, and industry events across the region.
Travel throughout Western Canada is expected, along with occasional travel elsewhere in North America for meetings, training, and industry events.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in professionals with at least five years of professional work experience in technical sales, project management, commercial construction, building materials, construction products, or engineered building systems.
You'll have experience working with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, developers, or owners and understand how commercial construction projects move from design and specification through procurement and installation. You're comfortable discussing technical solutions, managing multiple priorities, and building long-term relationships with a wide range of project stakeholders.
Experience with structural steel, steel fabrication, specialty construction products, framing systems, engineered building solutions, mechanical or electrical construction, industrial construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas would be considered an asset.
A degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred, while a PMP designation would be an advantage.
