About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor to lead on‑site operations for multiple custom residential builds. This role requires strong technical construction knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to interpret and execute complex architectural and structural details.
You will work closely with a technically trained Project Manager who handles design development, takeoffs, and high‑level project leadership. Your focus is ensuring that every detail is built correctly, safely, and to the highest standard on site.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Coordination
- Lead daily site operations across multiple custom residential projects.
- Coordinate trades, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics to maintain schedule and workflow.
- Ensure construction follows approved drawings, technical details, and building codes.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to communicate site progress, challenges, and required clarifications.
Quality, Safety & Documentation
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
- Enforce health and safety policies and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Maintain site documentation, daily logs, and schedules using project management software (BuilderTrend/JobTread).
- Support deficiency reviews, project closeout, and client walk‑throughs.
Technical Execution
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and connection details.
- Identify constructability issues and collaborate with the PM to develop solutions.
- Verify that assemblies, materials, and installations meet design intent and craftsmanship standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture), Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Structural Engineering Technology, CET, Red Seal Carpentry, or equivalent technical training.
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead‑hand role.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building science, and residential detailing.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage complex site workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with PMs, consultants, trades, and clients.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Drivers Licence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in custom home building or major residential renovations.
- Knowledge of local building codes, inspection processes, and construction standards.
- Experience working in a design‑build environment.
- Additional safety certifications beyond the minimum requirements.
