Hilton Vancouver Downtown is looking for a Bartender/Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You are responsible for preparing drinks and serving food/beverages while delivering exceptional customer service. Core duties include making cocktails to recipe, managing inventory, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with provincial liquor laws and Serving It Right in BC guidelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Mix and garnish drinks accurately to brand recipe and portion standards.
- Guest Service: Welcome guests warmly, take food and drink orders, and maintain a vibrant, friendly atmosphere.
- Compliance: Check guest identification for legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol service to prevent intoxication.
- Bar Maintenance: Stock the bar, wash glassware, prep garnishes, and keep the workspace clean and organized. Assist in inventory controls.
- Point-of-Sale (POS): Process payments, balance cash float, and handle credit/debit transactions accurately.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other food and beverage team members and assist in maintaining overall hotel dining standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous Bartending and Serving at a similar Hotel or comparable restaurant 2- years
- Certification: Valid provincial server certification: Serving It Right in BC
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk continuously, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Commitment: Must be able to work all year around. Part Time is 3 shifts a week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Full Time is 5 shifts a week.

Pay: $22.85-$25.39 per hour
