ILI Data Analyst Trainee/Level I – MFL, Caliper, Inertial
Headquartered in Calgary, AB, Canada; United Pacific is an inline inspection company catering to the owners of Oil and Gas pipelines around the world.
The Data Analyst Trainee/Level I MFL, Caliper, Inertial will be a key member of the United Pacific team, as this role will be responsible for using proprietary software to analyze pipeline inspection data collected from client pipelines, correlate findings to previous inspections and verified dig results, and compile final reports.
Duties:
- Evaluation of inline inspection data (MFL, Geometry, IMU) in accordance with industry and company standards and practices.
- Technical interpretation of visualized data signals collected by the inspection tool to identify pipeline integrity threats.
- Compile data analysis results in accordance with reporting requirements and standards specific to each client.
- Export inline inspection Dig Sheets to facilitate repairs and verifications.
- Correlate current inline inspection data to previous inline inspection reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in related STEM field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and around tight deadlines.
- Strong English language skills (spoken and written).
- Self-starter/excellent time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain focus while paging through large datasets, for hours/days at a time.
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong visual acuity including color perception.
- Optional/Preferred: Previous experience with inline inspection analysis, specifically MFL, Caliper and IMU.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
