Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision and consistency, ensuring high-quality food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and meets quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
