Retail Construction Labour (Contract)
About Our Client
Our client is a premier national commercial contractor specializing in retail renovations, fixture installations, and large-scale store setups across Canada. Known for their fast-paced, high-efficiency projects and outstanding workplace safety standards, they are currently looking for a hard-working team of local labourers to assist with an exciting local store setup project.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Retail Construction Labour:
- Assisting with the interior setup, renovation, and fixture assembly of a retail location.
- Unpacking, organizing, and moving retail shelving, racking, displays, and checkout counters.
- Safe and efficient assembly of retail fixtures using basic hand tools and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc.).
- Loading and unloading materials, fixtures, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and free of hazards by disposing of packaging materials and construction debris.
- Adhering strictly to site safety guidelines and working collaboratively with the site supervisor to hit project milestones.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Retail Construction Labour:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in construction, general labour, retail merchandising setup, or a similar hands-on role.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
- CSA-approved steel-toed boots and safety vest are required.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal communication.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $20.00 to $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Paid weekly, every Tuesday.
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it.
- A fantastic, fast-paced short-term contract to add excellent construction experience to your resume!
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends.
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- 2-week contract (Overtime may be available depending on project speed)
Where You Will Be Working, as a Retail Construction Labour:
- Main Intersection: Highway 2A & 50th Avenue (Lacombe Centre Mall area), Lacombe, AB
- Transit Accessibility: Public transit is limited in this area. It is highly recommended that candidates have a reliable personal vehicle or a dependable means of transportation to guarantee consistent daily attendance.
