Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Oilfield Labourers to join our team in supporting various operations within the pipeline industry. This role involves hands-on work in challenging environments, requiring physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and a strong safety mindset. The ideal candidate will assist with spotting heavy equipment, lawn maintenance, fence installation, hotshot deliveries, civil construction of pads/roads, and general site clean-ups. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and construction-related tasks while contributing to critical pipeline projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, packers, and other equipment.
- Support on-site activities for lifting and moving materials safely and efficiently
- Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting equipment operators.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or personnel when required.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues or damages promptly.
Requirements
- Safety certificates: CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level 2
- Prior experience or knowledge in pipeline/facility construction, heavy equipment operation, or construction is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract is required.
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, packers, and other heavy equipment safely is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with pipeline industry standards and safety regulations.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to pipeline operations and safety protocols. This position is integral to our operational success and offers valuable experience within the pipeline sector for motivated individuals eager to build their careers in industrial environments.
- Must be able to commute to our shop in Viking or have reliable transportation to meet at job sites in Edmonton and the surrounding areas.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
