Job Summary
The Corporation of the Town of Latchford is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Water Treatment / Public Works Operator.
Qualifications & Assets
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and a clear Driver’s Abstract
- DZ Licence considered a strong asset
- Water Treatment Class 1 Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience in municipal public works, water treatment, or equipment operation considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work safely in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in overtime and on-call rotations
Responsibilities
- Water treatment and distribution system monitoring and maintenance
- Snow plowing, sanding, grading, grass cutting and road maintenance
- Operation of municipal equipment and vehicles
- Routine inspections, testing, and reporting
- Infrastructure and facility maintenance
- Responding to public inquiries and emergency situations
Compensation & Benefits
- $23.00 - $30.00 per hour and will be based on the successful applicant’s experience
