Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated School Age Program Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations within our vibrant early childhood education environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the Child Care Early Years Act. This role involves over-all responsibility for the successful leadership and management of the site. The supervisor will also be responsible for managing team performance while maintaining operational efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsiblities:
-Ensure that the program complies with all Ministry of Education Licensing requirements
-Ensure that all policies established by the Board of Directors are implemented
-Ensure that the curriculum for children matches the mission and philosophy of the organization
-Ensure on-going supervision of staff and implementation of the organizations personnel policies
-Promote the organization in the community
Qualifications:
-Experience in a licensed child care program, ability to interpret Child Care Early Years Act
-Proven ability to maintain control in frustrating situations
-Ability to provide work direction to staff members
-Ability to accommodate competing demands
-Ability to maintain neat and accurate information and present reports and statements
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with parents, guardians, educators and outside agencies
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information related to children, educators and volunteers
-Ability to work flexible hours
-Responsible and accountable
Minimum Education Requirements:
-Community College Diploma in Early Childhood Education
-Two years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education
-Current Membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators
-Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
-Current Food Handlers Cerification
-Valid Driver's License
Wage:
