We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record in managing financial data.
Only qualified candidates will be contacted to participate in the interview process in order to ensure they are good fit. This position will be full-time Monday to Friday, The starting hourly wage will be based on the current experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, (CPA student preferred)
- 2+ years of progressive CANADIAN accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Case ware and Profile)
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial modeling
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of GST, PST, WCB etc.
- Must be able to work at an accelerated pace as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance
