To assist seniors living in care to participate in daily therapeutic recreation programs including music and art based activities.
To maximize resident opportunities to enjoy the outdoors through recreational programs in our outdoor spaces, 1:1 interventions.
Based on the needs of the facility, the youth will assist in filling gaps arising from non-replaced staff vacations.
Must be a student taking Therapeutic Recreation at either the university or college level.
Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act(1). , and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
Experience in the delivery of recreational/leisure programs with a senior population would be an asset
