Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Upholsterer / Junior Seamstress to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assisting with upholstery and sewing projects, supporting the assembly of furniture and custom pieces. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in craftsmanship, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with various tools and materials. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in upholstery, sewing, and manufacturing processes within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assist with upholstering furniture pieces, including cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric or leather coverings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to complete projects efficiently and accurately
- Support the assembly of furniture or custom items using woodworking, machining, and construction techniques
- Measure materials precisely using calipers and other measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to move raw materials or finished products
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and quality control procedures under the direction of the Factory Foreman
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with woodworking, CNC machinery, machining, or construction is preferred but not necessary
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in upholstery or sewing tasks
- Basic knowledge of assembly techniques related to furniture or custom fabrication projects
- Prior experience working with manufacturing or industrial environments is desirable

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
