We are currently seeking skilled Heavy Duty Technician's with field and engine experience to join our Service Department.
As a Journeyman Field Engine Mechanic with Independent Rebuild Specialist, LLC you are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of CAT Engines including but not limited to C175's, 3400, 3500 and 3600 series. As well as mining equipment including haul trucks, dozers, loaders and shovels. Engine experience is an asset. This position is located in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Our tradespeople are offered above average industry wages. A 14/14 schedule. Flights departing Calgary or Edmonton, camp accommodations provided. Tools, coveralls and gear provided. Weekly pay and a premium benefits package.
Qualifications
- Off-Road Interprovincial Off-Road Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Elevated Work Platform Certificate
- Fall Protection Certificate
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Previous mining experience required
- Experience running a service truck an asset
- Engine ( 777's, 793's, 789's) experience preferred
- Previous knowledge of SIS an asset
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety practices and protocols
- Duties that range from preventative maintenance to major breakdowns, engine swaps and commissioning
- Confidence in disassembling and reassembling engines, transmissions, fuel, exhaust and cooling systems, and torque converters
- Skilled in pressure checks and adjustments
- Ground level failure analysis
- Provide innovative solutions and practices
- Work exclusively with CAT brand
