Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will be the face of our establishment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and Sandwiches
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash and credit transactions, and perform cashiering duties with basic math skills
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple customers promptly during busy periods
- Keep the service area clean and organized throughout shifts
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in the food industry, including serving or food service roles, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
