The Housekeeping Supervisor and their team at Santa’s Whispering Pines provide crucial services to the campground and guests, ensuring the grounds are maintained, and buildings and sites are cleaned.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of Housekeeping Team and ensuring quality of work performed.
- Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house.
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
- Responds timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items like cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
- Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
- Reports necessary maintenance items.
- Follows departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Assists in the laundry room as required.
- Primary Housekeeping duties of amenities offered to guests include; cleaning washroom and laundry facilities, garbage pick-up, linen cleaning and folding, maintenance and organization of all cleaning supplies and amenity stock items like shampoo, soap, detergents, etc.
- Follow instructions and seek clarification, as required.
- Cleaning and organization of working environment is a shared responsibility of all Santa’s Whispering Pine team members
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years housekeeping experience required
- Experience in a leadership role a strong asset
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail oriented and can record information accurately
- Ability to work in a team dynamic environment
- Ability to work in hot/cold/wet weather conditions and maintain physically demanding positions which require walking, standing, lifting, bending for lengthy periods of time
- Knowledge and experience of camping and outdoor recreational activities considered an asset
