Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues based on schematics and technical manuals
- Use welding equipment and techniques to support repairs when necessary
- Handle heavy lifting and assist with the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings
- Support the team with general shop upkeep, including cleaning, organizing tools, and preparing work areas
Skills
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and routine maintenance procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when needed
- Familiarity with automotive repair standards, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
