EPC is seeking a reliable and experienced Welder/Industrial Labourer to for welding and for support maintenance and labour operations within a heavy industrial and marine environment. This role involves working around docked vessels, welding, assisting with maintenance activities, material handling, site cleanup, and supporting skilled trades as required.
The ideal candidate will have previous welding and industrial labour experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties including material handling, lifting, shoveling, site cleanup, and assisting with maintenance activities
- Support maintenance and repair work on and around docked vessels and industrial equipment
- Assist tradespeople and maintenance personnel with daily tasks and projects
- Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the worksite
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete daily assignments
- Assist with grinding, cutting, fitting, and welding-related tasks where experience permits
Qualifications
- Previous heavy industrial, marine, construction, manufacturing, or labour experience required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Assets
- Welding experience is required
- Valid welding tickets preferred
- Experience using grinders, cutting tools, and fabrication equipment
- Working at Heights certification preferred
- Experience working in marine, shipyard, steel, recycling, or heavy industrial environments
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Compensation
- $19.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience
