The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with public practice experience to join our growing team.
This role is best suited for someone who already has experience reviewing files, managing workflow, and supporting staff within a CPA firm environment.
You will work closely with the firm owner and team to oversee file completion, improve workflows, and help support the continued growth of the firm.
This is a hands-on role in a collaborative small firm environment where adaptability, communication, and ownership are highly valued.

This role requires prior experience reviewing corporate year-end files and T2 tax returns within a CPA firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Review corporate year-end files and T2 tax returns
- Review bookkeeping and working paper files prepared by staff
- Provide guidance and review notes to team members
- Assist with workflow management and file scheduling
- Communicate with clients regarding file completion and outstanding items
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help strengthen internal systems
- Assist with technical accounting and tax matters as needed
- Help ensure files are completed accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manager, supervisor, or reviewer role within a Canadian public practice CPA firm
- Strong experience reviewing corporate year-end files and T2 tax returns
- Experience with Compilation Engagements / Notice to Reader files
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses and small business clients
- Strong understanding of Canadian corporate tax and financial statement preparation
- Experience with Caseware and TaxCycle preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced small firm environment

Expected compensation range:
$80,000 – $110,000+ depending on experience and qualifications.
Location
Hybrid role based in Burnaby.
