Position Overview
The Senior IT Support Provider serves as the senior escalation point within Cerco’s Digital IT operations. You will play a key role in managing advanced systems, optimizing infrastructure performance, and leading high-level troubleshooting and resolution efforts.
This position requires strong technical acumen, a proactive mindset, and the ability to bridge hands-on technical work with strategic planning. You’ll also mentor junior team members and help shape best practices that align with our technology strategy with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented IT professional who enjoys complex problem-solving, system optimization, and contributing to a culture of reliability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for complex system and network issues.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize cloud and on-premise infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), and Windows Server environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure—firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless systems.
- Design, implement, and oversee cybersecurity strategies, including monitoring, incident response, and access control.
- Support the deployment and integration of enterprise applications and productivity tools across Microsoft and Google ecosystems.
- Ensure data protection, redundancy, and disaster recovery systems are tested and fully operational.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents and develop preventive and long-term solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and policy manuals.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Tier 1, Tier 2 and development support staff.
- Collaborate with leadership and external partners to align IT strategy with organizational growth and technology objectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering (Tier 3 or equivalent).
- Expert-level proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 Administration, Google Workspace Administration, and cloud infrastructure management (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, and VPN configuration.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, endpoint protection, and system monitoring tools.
- Certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Azure Administrator Associate
- Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or other AWS entry-level certification)
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
