Setup Mechanic / Compounder – Cosmetics or Food Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Setup Mechanic / Compounder with hands-on experience in the cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, experience setting up and operating production equipment, and/or experience compounding and batching products according to established formulas and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate production and processing equipment according to production requirements.
- Perform equipment changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting to ensure efficient production.
- Prepare, weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to approved formulas, batch records, and production procedures.
- Operate mixers, tanks, pumps, fillers, and other manufacturing equipment as required.
- Monitor equipment and production processes to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), workplace safety procedures, and company policies.
- Complete batch records, production documentation, equipment logs, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and inspection of equipment and production areas.
- Identify and report equipment issues, product inconsistencies, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other production-related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in cosmetics, food, personal care, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a Setup Mechanic, Machine Operator, Compounder, Batcher, or Production Technician is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting.
- Experience with mixing, batching, compounding, or production processes is an asset.
- Ability to read and follow formulas, work instructions, SOPs, and batch records.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
