We provide a variety of classes such as Strength Training, HIIT, Kettlebell, Hip Hop Step and Boxing. We have both morning and evening classes during the week and morning classes on weekends. We are looking for a dynamic coach, with morning and evening availability and at least one year experience teaching group fitness classes. If this sounds like you please apply!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead engaging and safe group fitness classes for members of varying fitness levels
- Provide exercise instruction, demonstrations, and modifications as needed
- Build strong relationships with members and foster a welcoming community atmosphere
- Support clients in achieving personal fitness goals through motivation and accountability
- Monitor class safety, technique, and overall member experience
- Assist with onboarding new members and conducting fitness assessments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the training floor and equipment
- Collaborate with management on programming, events, and member engagement initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends, coaching techniques, and fitness education
- Promote PHNX Fithouse services, programs, and wellness offerings
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Certification (NASM, ISSA, ACE, CanFitPro, CPTN, or equivalent preferred)
- CPR/AED certification required
- Previous coaching or personal training experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High-energy, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to motivate and connect with diverse clientele
- Passion for health, fitness, and community building
- Flexibility to work mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
- Kettlebell Certification or Boxing experience is a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience coaching Strength Training, HIIT, Kettlebell, Boxing, or Athletic Conditioning
- Sales and member retention experience
- Social media and community engagement skills
- Nutrition or wellness coaching background considered an asset
- Experience in boutique fitness environments preferred
