Neighbourhood Better Living Belleville Inc., a 160-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees, and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Spring/Summer of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent full-time Housekeeping Aide.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:-Supports with the implementation/maintenance of quality risk management activities, conducts audits.
-Supports effective and efficient procurement and supply control procedures, completes all environmental services documentation.
-Cleans and maintains cleanliness of the long-term care home according to assigned schedule, using appropriate cleaning methods.
-Operates cleaning equipment (i.e. Floor care machines, steam-cleaning equipment, etc.) as required.
-Prepares rooms for new residents ensuring they are deep cleaned, sanitized, disinfected and welcoming.
-Empties garbage containers, inserts new plastic liners and cleans the garbage containers, as required.
-Transports garbage to designated area, as required.
-Restocks sanitization liquid at sanitization stations, soap, toilet paper and paper towels, as required.
-Ensures housekeeping cart and room are appropriately stocked.
-Assists in maintaining and cleaning environmental services equipment and reports equipment concerns.
-Assists with meal service ensuring the individual nutritional needs of all residents are met.
-Porters residents and assists with safe lifts and transfers of residents.
-Participates as a member for assigned committees, attends meetings and educations sessions.
-Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning long-term care services.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-A secondary-school diploma or equivalent.
-Knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment, best practices and procedures.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions in English.
-Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when assisting residents, family members and visitors.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
