Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of Physiotherapy RMT office procedures, and proficiency in managing administrative functions. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional patient service. The Medical Office Manager will coordinate staff, manage budgets, and utilize electronic medical records systems to support clinical and administrative teams.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily office activities, including patient scheduling, billing, and record keeping
- Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling
- Manage electronic medical records systems, including Jane application and other relevant software
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to medical and dental practices
- Maintain accurate billing, coding, and insurance processing
- Monitor clinic budgets, supplies inventory, and procurement processes
- Facilitate communication between clinical staff, patients, vendors, and external partners
- Implement policies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Assist with onboarding new staff members and ongoing staff development
Experience
- Prior experience in a Physiotherapy or medical office setting is required; Physiotherapy office experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare environments
- Proficiency with Jane application or similar electronic medical records systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and hospital or acute care operations
- Background in human resources management within healthcare settings
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and inventory control
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and regulations
- Previous nursing or hospital experience is a plus for understanding clinical workflows
