Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Fiber Laser Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up CNC fiber laser cutting machines to ensure precise and efficient production of metal components. Your expertise will help us maintain high-quality standards, optimize machine performance, and meet production deadlines. Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC fiber laser cutting machines according to blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine proper machine settings and material requirements
- Program CNC laser machines using CNC programming languages and software to ensure accurate cuts and optimal efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on laser equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using calipers, measuring tools, and visual checks to ensure adherence to specifications
- Assist with loading raw materials onto the machine using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, maintenance activities, and quality checks
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation of fiber laser cutting machines
- Strong mechanical knowledge of CNC machinery, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, welding equipment, hand tools, and assembly processes
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise machining
- Experience with crane operation and forklift certification for material handling
- Basic math skills for measuring dimensions and calculating machine parameters
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as calipers and gauges
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and best practices for machining environments
